Languages of Tomeria
This page is an overview for all of the constructed languages in Tomeria (this is a provisional name for this constructed world, derived from Modern Standard Tersamian “të́m’ïr” np̲̍g̣b̲ḷ /tómjʌ̂r/).
Skomi
The Skomi language family is the most politically important language family in the Tomerian world, especially because of the influence of its descendent, Modern Standard Tersamian. Skomi languages are the closest to Standard Average European compared to other languages in Tomeria, but are still quite far off nonetheless.
Pamedarian
The Pamedarian languages are a diverse grouping of languages native to the Ältojowa plains. Due to migration pressures from other ethnic groups, the Pamedarians were eventually displaced to other regions inside and outside the Tersamian Empire. Most Pamedarian languages are critically endangered.
Teppeli
The Teppelis form the most culturally, geographically and lingustic diverse grouping in Tomeria. One of its descendants, Rituppal, has had great influence over the Tersamian language.
Atoiran
Atoiran is the official language of the Atoiran Republic. It is a language isolate, meaning it is unrelated to the neighbouring Khal-Murdic languages.
Hatseanic
The Hatseanic languages are analytic, relying on word order, a healthy number of particles and honorifics to convey meaning.
